Now Gabriel got to the most important part of the message from Lucifer.
Gabriel: And he wanted you to be my probation officers. It's either that or back to Hell.
Anna-Karin: Probation officers? Me and Kenneth? And what army?
Gabriel: Lucifer thought I should see you mabye once a week or so. He said you were good company.
Anna-Karin: Good company? How come he thinks that?
Gabriel: Don't ask me.
Kenneth: I think it would be fun.
Both the woman and the angel looks at him incredusly
Kenneth: Well..I mean that we have gone through so much together, we could as well stay in touch. And if it keeps you out of Hell, why not. We could go to the movies sometime.
Anna-Karin: Sounds like a good idea. There's this film I really wanna see. Premiére on 31st of March; Sleepy Hollow. Wanna see it with me?
Kenneth: That's the one with the headless guy, right? I hear Ray Park's in it. I fell in love with him as Darth Maul in Star Wars. He's so cool.
Gabriel: Sounds like a plan.
Anna-Karin: We have to get home first.
Kenneth: Which way? Up through Italy, through France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and home, or up through Italy, Austria, Germany Demanrk and home.
Anna-Karin: I wanna get home fast. I vote for the second option, the one with Austria in it.
Gabriel: We'll go via Austria then.
Kenneth: Okay. Everything packed?
They drive the whole day, taking breaks every now and then; coffee breaks, food breaks, what-a-loveley-view breaks, emergency breaks.
The voyage back is a rather unenventful affair until they arrive to Copenhagen.
It is a loveley day in the Danish capital. The trio is sitting at a café, sipping on expensive coffees.
Anna-Karin: What is tall, blonde and looks like a photo model?
Gabriel: I don't know. Why ask me that kind of riddles?
Anna-Karin: Because there is one walking in our direction. He don't look very friendly.
Gabriel: Oh dear.
The angel walks towards them. Gabriel turns around.
Gabriel: Hello.
Angel: Hello.
The two humans decides that there is no risk of there being a huge showdown. Both angels seem very calm, but the stranger have a nervous little twinkle in the eyes.
Angel: The lord wants to have a word with you. Now.
Gabriel: About what? Is it more important than sitting in the sun enjoying a cup of coffee?
The angel begin to look a bit anxious.
Angel: Please, Gabriel. It's really important.
Gabriel: Why?
Angel: Because you've killed the three finest!
Gabriel: It was a legitimate kill.
Angel: And our troops has started to turn against the Lord!
The angel sits down at the table next to Kenneth, who pulls away a bit.
Angel: When the Three were killed, and the Lord didn't do anything to prevent it, their comrades began to rebel.
Anna-Karin: That was fast.
Angel: So now there are two fractions in our army! Warring against each other! Over if the Lord was right in letting the Three get killed or not.
Gabriel: They screwed up, they got killed. Same deal as everybody else get. They only mananged to keep it off for that long. Good survivors. Were at least.
Angel: The Lord want you to help Him. He can't handle this on his own.
Gabriel: What?
Angel: He want you to declare peace.
Gabriel: He want me to say I'm defeated so that He can save his face, and his ass?
Angel: Something like that.
Gabriel: Lemme think.
Gabriel thinks about it for a long time. The angel loks at him with a mixture of fear, hope and a whiff of adoration. Kenneth notes that look and decides that he would like to do some angel-style heart surgery on him here and now. He don't though.
Gabriel: No.
Angel: No?
Gabriel: No, I won't declare defeat, but I'm open for negotiations though. But it is you who has to pack up the white flags.
He stands up.
Gabriel: Sorry, but I've bussiness to do in Heaven. Gotta tell my troops of this new development. See you!
Kenneth sees Gabriel walk avay. He knows that it is now or never.
Kenneth: Gabriel!
The archangel stops.
Gabriel: What?
Kenneth: There's someting I gotta do.
The man puts his arms around the angel and rises his face to Gabriel's face.
Kenneth: Or I'll kick myself for never daring to.
Then he kiss Gabriel on the mouth. To his surprise Gabriel kiss him back.
Kenneth: Guess I'm out of the closet now.
Anna-Karin gives Kenneth two thumbs up behind Gabriel's back.
Then the angel and Gabriel dissapears into thin air.
